The Waterbury Gravel Grinder supports WATA – the Waterbury Area Trails Alliance. This year’s event was held in person with wave starts and although the numbers were smaller, the fun was just as big. The weather was rainy but warm and made for an unconventionally beautiful day. The “Traditional Grind” course featured lots of renowned spots, such as Perry Hill and the Zen Barn. On-course support and aid stations were on point, serving lots of unexpected treats. The community came out to cheer riders on, even despite the weather. The post-ride food by Prohibition Pig was delicious. It was an altogether wonderful day for a ride.
