Ranger Warmup Route

Distance: 17.8 miles

Elevation gain: ~1,173 ft (GPS devices vary)

Road Surface: 58% asphalt, 35% gravel; 7% Class IV

An easy 18-mile lollipop with one climb over a manageable Class IV sector, this route is designed as a shake-out option to ride in advance of The Ranger, one of our favorite gravel events. It’s a great one to do the day before the race, to make sure your bike is in working order and to give your legs a little reminder of what’s to come without tiring them out too much.

There is a fair amount of asphalt on this route, primarily on Route 110 to and from South Royalton. The road is generally in great shape and has wide shoulders.
